I’m sure some of the particiants of  the OES Tsetnoc have noticed that my OES Tsetnoc was down for few days due to a hosting issue problem. Yes it was down and I was aware of it.

Reasons why I didn’t attend to the OES  issue and had it resolved at once was it was part of the plan.  Though I know this entry was on the 4th page of google’s ranking since I joined. I still want to check if my ranking will go further up after it was down for a almost 2 weeks.

Thanks to OES Tsetnoc  Maj3ed who reminded me of my hosting issue and thanks for the offer mate.

I actually don’t have much of an update with regards to Oes Tsetnoc contest. I have not check rankings for the past few days as we were busy the whole week for GITEX.

With regards to ranking for oes, I saw today that those who are on top are doing pretty good. They have manage to be on their positions for past weeks. Though Lloydi who was on top 3 has now gone missing as what he says. I hope it will come back and come back with the no.1 spot.

As for my entry, I guess it will be just another domain after the contest. I feel like my motivation was gone and I am so busy as well with so many things.

As of this writing, Oes Tsetnoc Winner is currently ranking 57.

Today, Big G has crawled 20 pages of my oes tsetnoc entry. It took around 2 weeks before my site was crawled. I know what you are thinking. It is easy to make new sites to be crawled by search engines. Sometimes it can only take you 2 days or even a day for your new site to be crawled.

Why it took me to get my oes crawled after 32 days?

1. Well, sometimes we forgot things. Just like changing  my privacy settings.
2. I purchased this domain 12 days after the contest started.
3. There was a long holiday during September, 4 days plus 12 days = 16 days without oes tsetnoc work.
4. Busy with my day time job.

Now it’s time to gear up and let those links coming. I will be building links from now on.

Backlinks or also known as inbound links and inlinks are links which come from a website/blog to your own website. Oes Tsetnoc’s backlinks has only 1 sitewide links from my personal web blog. We will talk about sitewide links in my future post.

Who Cares on Having Backlinks?

Most site owners still doesn’t know how important backlinks are. Aside of course from having created a search engine friendly website, for me and I’m sure oes tsetnoc contestants agrees that backlinks are important.

Now why do we want to have backlinks on our site? Why do we care of having backlinks? For whom these backlinks are?  People who reads your site knows nothing that you are getting links from site A and site B. So for whom are we creating links to? The answer to this is Search Engines.

It is for them mainly Google that we oes tsetnoc create back links. In the world of  search engine optimization or mostly called SEO, the number of backlinks is one indication of the popularity or importance of that website or page and that is how Google ranks websites.

Acquiring links or what they call link building is tedious for some and interesting to others. The easiest way for me to build links is to create a topic or useful content and ideas that will  make my readers link to the site. Without link building, you will never reach to the top.

Oes Tsetnoc – Today marks the first month of Oes Tsetnoc. I am still thinking whether I should continue with this experiment as I am much preoccupied with my day job also doing search engine optimization.

After 1 month of the contest, Google search results has now reached 104,000 search results. That means more and more pages which are related to oes tsetnoc contest are being indexed by Google everyday.

It is good to know that a fellow member of seo.ph is now currently ranked No. 3.  He had asked me last time if it is possible to exchange links with one of my site and I told him that I will give him. If he continues to maintain his rank, I will place his oes tsetnoc entry link to some of my blogs. I will be happy to see a Filipino wins a contest as this will boost the image of Filipino in the field of SEO.
